National Alliance of Covenating Congregations within the United Church of Canada

The British Columbia Area

We are an association of United Church congregations in B.C. who have joined together to support each other in the maintenance of the historic Christian faith. Where we stand is well stated in the Articles of Faith of the United Church of Canada’s Basis of Union [1925]. Thus, for instance, like the Christian Church over the centuries,

• we affirm the Lordship of Jesus Christ;
• we accept the Bible as our primary source and ultimate standard of Christian faith and life;
• we have a Trinitarian understanding of God, seeing him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
• we believe in the dual nature of Christ - fully God, fully human;
• we believe that we, with all humanity, are saved through Jesus Christ alone.

Although primarily an association of congregations, we welcome into Associate Membership individuals who are not part of a covenanting congregation, if they share our understanding of the faith and are in support of the goals of the NACC and BC Regional Area. A number have done so.
